The existing character and facades of the Grade II Listed No 21 will be retained, with key improvements sensitively made to the appearance and thermal efficiency of the building fabric. The facade of No.19 High Holborn will be replaced in its entirety with a modern energy efficient building envelope with an additional floor added to provide extra office floor space.
To the rear of the building an existing four storey brick addition will be removed and a new seven-storey extension inserted in its place. Improved landscaping will transform the pedestrian experience of the rear paddock and significantly enhance the historic gateway to the Inn.
