Rick Mather Architects were selected to develop a new masterplan for the Natural History Museum in South Kensington, London.
The plan identifies sites for new buildings to allow the museum to put more of its vast collection on show and will also look at improving visitor circulation and work to enhance the qualities of the original building.
In total, 58,000 square metres of new build potential was identified for the expansion and renewal of the exisiting facilities, as well as an extensive restoration of the 1881 Grade I listed building of Alfred Waterhouse.
