Rick Mather Architects are delighted to announce our commission by Kings College London to develop design proposals for the area of St Thomas' Hospital Campus between Lambeth Palace and the river Thames. The project will include new build development on the site of the Prideaux Building (to be demolished as part of the proposals), and the refurbishment and extensions of Block 9, the Grade II listed former Medical School.

The site is seen as the last major development opportunity left on the St Thomas' Campus; a special location, with views and close proximities to London's cultural landmarks and institutions. The designs will have to respond to the challenge of providing optimum space provision within the existing site; high quality architectural and interior design appropriate to the sensitive historical settings and listed buildings; and cutting edge flexible learning and office environments for medical teaching.

The 15,000m2 project is due to be submitted for planning in March 2016.
