The new Reuben Foundation Wing, described by Creative Director Sean Homes as a "fabulous fun palace", adjoins the existing theatre on top of the 1970's shopping centre. The accommodation includes four large highly technical yet flexible spaces for theatre, film and dance; recording suite with separate studios for music, radio and TV & film editing; music practice rooms; a digital play space; a sensory space; workshop; wardrobe, meeting and seminar rooms and staff offices; all arranged around a dramatic, bright new triple height foyer.

"The new Reuben Foundation Wing of the Lyric Hammersmith has it all. The project to turn the Lyric into "the South Bank of West London", not to mention the greenest theatre in the Capital, will provide a home for a vastly expanded programme of work for young people" - Fiona Mountford, Evening Standard

"the new Lyric evinces all Rick Mather Architects' professional qualities of style, discretion, sleek lines and utter simplicity. The spaces and foyers are predominantly white and grey, with plenty of sky-lights and smooth, curvilinear finishing on counters, stairways, even floors. (The great Matcham auditorium is unchanged and is now a glorious complementary asset to the modern re-build.)" - Michael Coveney, What's on Stage
